James Waddington
With over 30 years of experience in fitness and personal training, James Waddington has worked with everyone from elite athletes to busy professionals balancing fitness with daily life.
His mission is simple: to help people move better, feel stronger, and stay active for life.
James holds a degree in physical education, specialising in rehabilitation. He later worked as a Physical Training Instructor (PTI) with the British Army, helping injured soldiers rebuild strength and mobility. This gave him a deep understanding of how the body works and how to support recovery and performance.
In 2011, James faced his own challenge. A stroke, caused by an undiagnosed heart condition, meant rebuilding his fitness from the ground up. With resilience and smart training, he not only recovered but went on to rank among the UK’s top 10 cross-country mountain bikers. He knows what it takes to overcome setbacks and come back stronger. James’ approach is practical and results-driven. No gimmicks, no generic plans. Just smart coaching tailored to your body, your goals, and your lifestyle. Whether you're training in person, online, or through the Trainer Fu app, he’ll guide you to move better, build strength, and stay injury-free.
